I received my copy in the mail yesterday and didn't have time to really test it out until I got to work that night. I wanted this lens for a couple of reasons; full body portraits have a really nice background separation from whatever is in focus and up close portraits leave a good amount of space to tell whats going on in the background with nice bokeh.
I was worried that I wouldn't like it as much as it's more expensive brother, the 35L, but after using it, I don't think I really need it. The extra stop of light that the 35L gives is nice and it has really good bokeh characteristics, but I'm using it on a full frame 6D which has exceptionally great ISO performance in low light situations.
